The Social Media Manager is responsible for the management and development of activity on core social media channels with the aim of driving audience engagement, fostering online communities, increasing web traffic, and attributing to eCommerce sales. The position will work collaboratively with the Digital and Brand Marketing teams to meet shared objectives and provide insights and analysis to improve impact and effectiveness of social media channels. The position will drive the execution and improvement of the company’s social media initiatives to deliver digital and brand marketing KPI goals.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute day-to-day community management of all MagnaFlow social channels including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and automotive online forums
  • Foster online community growth by engaging our audiences, actively responding to questions/comments and driving conversations through creative content
  • Curate and compose monthly social media content calendars to ensure brand consistency through tone, voice, and imagery
  • Assist with creative development to provide community insights and request engaging concepts for internal design team to produce for monthly editorial and new product releases
  • Expert knowledge of creative requirements for each platform and content format (Newsfeed, Stories, Thumbnails, IGTV, Video, etc.)
  • Collaborate and work closely with Digital and Brand Marketing teams to create and implement monthly social media strategies
  • Support Digital and Brand Marketing teams to execute social media campaigns that grow brand awareness and helps drive eCommerce sales
  • Support industry consumer events through live streams, stories/reels, and behind-the-scenes updates
  • Develop and source user generated content by reaching out to fans, influencers, business partners and promoting campaign hashtags
  • Coordinate with customer service to ensure customer expectations are met and addressed
  • Implement and execute organic social campaigns, contests, and giveaways
  • Research and coordinate micro-influencer programs and brand activation opportunities
  • Report on monthly social media performance to help scale online growth, measure Digital and Brand KPI’s and provide real-time consumer trends

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of professional social media management with an eCommerce / omni-channel brand or agency brand-client experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field of study
  • Expert knowledge of social media channels, latest platform features and growth trends
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills to deliver brand tone and voice
  • Proven experience growing, engaging, and monitoring social media communities
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing, brand style guide and online consumer buying journey
  • Exceptional organization, collaboration, and cross-functional team communication skills
  • Proficient in social media publishing tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.
  • Ability to measure key social metrics, understand web analytics/tracking, and report data insights to drive web performance and online brand growth
  • Ability to attend events or travel as needed for industry consumer events or meet-ups
  • Previous experience for automotive brand or passion for automotive lifestyle a plus
