Apply Now Back to ResultsA Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Knowledgeable in industrial/manufacturing preventative maintenance procedures, mechanical and hydraulic systems. Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial manufacturing equipment and CNC machinery. Experience diagnosing and repairing CNC components, such as spindles, ball screws, and control systems, is a plus. Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including motor controls, PLCs, and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Thorough understanding of safety measures, with experience in OSHA guidelines and compliance. Requires 3-6 years of experience in the industrial manufacturing field or a related area.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and incorporate all safety standards and regulations required for safe operation and repair of equipment
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing machinery.
- Hands-on experience with CNC equipment, particularly Doosan and Mori Seiki machines.
- Performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses to ensure proper machine function
- Performs diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on CNC equipment, including Doosan and Mori Seiki machines
- Incorporate relevant technical manuals and documentation for a better understanding of system operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Communicate with machine operators to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems.
- Maintain records and make reports of breakdowns in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Thorough understanding of parts inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards within the maintenance department.
- Assist with the repairs of facility equipment, including plumbing, lighting, air conditioning units and restrooms.
**Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individualâs related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in developing and executing maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the reliability of machinery.
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Familiarity with machinery operation, control systems, and industrial automation.
- Ability to closely monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they cause significant downtime.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and the use of PPE when working with machinery and hazardous materials.
- Ability to effectively communicate with production teams, supervisors, and other stakeholders to address issues and coordinate repairs.
- Ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long periods, and work in physically demanding environments.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is often preferred).
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment is typically required.
- Certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related fields may be preferred.
- Experience with specific equipment or industries (e.g., CNC machines, conveyors, automation systems) may be beneficial.
